"Unions should be banned" via e-mail

With all the talk of banning labour brokers, I would suggest that we rather ban unions, as they are the cause of unemployment. Let us take a look at what has transpired with the Transport workers strike.

The strike started with the unions “threatening” that they will accept nothing less than a 10% increase in 2011 and another 10% in 2012. They told their members to go on strike and they did so, VIOLENTLY, for one week. What did the members get in return – 9% for 2011 and 8.5% for 2012. This clearly indicates that their leadership LIED to them about their increases, but that is nothing new with unions.

In this time, the employees have lost one week’s pay while their leaders have received full salaries for this month – they SOLD THEIR MEMBERS DOWN THE RIVER!!!! The members still have to pay their membership fees this month (how else will their leaders then be able to pay for their BMW’s and Mercedes Benz’s?).

They also lied to the employers and the general public by saying that they strike will not be violent. They cannot control their members and I doubt if they would be able to arrange sexual intercourse in a brothel,(edited) so how they were going to keep the strike violence –free, when they were using “war-type “ language, only they will know.

The strike has caused strained relationships between employers and employees in a time when the government is openly trying to create jobs. They cannot walk back into work and think that “everything is ok now” -this is another nail in the coffin of unemployment, as any clear thinking person who was planning to start up a business and witnessed the events of the past week, will immediately stop his plans. Some “devout” members, following instructions to burn vehicles etc are now facing attempted murder charges – this will have a severe impact not only on themselves, but also their families.

I believe that many small businesses will close because of this – why must they risk their entire life’s savings by starting a business that employs people, for some idiots to ruin it for them. The motto will now be to mechanize at all costs, as the unions are ruining the lives of their members and those of businesses.
