Freedom - what freedom?

The unions are making a “mockery” of the alleged “freedom” that the majority of South Africans fought for.

Truck drivers who want to work are stoned and harassed, by what can only be termed savage behavior. I was led to believe that freedom meant that you could choose do to what you wanted to in SA provided that it was within the law. It appears as though the unions have a different definition of freedom, theirs being: “You are free do to do as we say and demand!!”

The unions are clearly becoming desperate having to stoop so low, using unlawful behaviour of their members to achieve their aims. They claim that they do not condone such behaviour, yet they do nothing to stop it, as violence and intimidation form part of their strike strategy. This is clearly another “nail in the coffin” of increased unemployment, as why should we have to put up with such behavior, in a so-called “free” country.
